Olympic torch

Dorktown News is full of 'secret' today, well, there's two stories that are supposed to be secrets anyway.  The first concerns the Olympic Torch which is being made by a company on the Bayton Road Industrial Estate in Exhall.  Now whether Exhall is in Dorktown or Coventry is debateable but it's certainly close enough to warrant a mention in the News.  Yesterday the route the torch will take next year was revealed and Bayton Road wasn't on it.  Now after ... "Secret clock and dagger talks ..." it will make an appearance back at the 

factory where it was made.  Lucky them eh ... ... ... ...

The second item is to do with this dump ...

 At one time it was called the Coach and Horses and I liked it in there and thought it was a good pub.  Then it became the Kingsholme and it never really took off under that name.  After a few years it was closed and it's slowly got worse and worse until you see it as it now, a wreck!  The council has been trying to trace the owners but I'm not sure they were able to.  Anyway, there's 'top secret' talks going on within the council cabinet about redeveloping the site.  Not sure how to take all this talk of 'secret' talks; surely if they were secret we wouldn't know about them until they were over and done with.  Ah well ...

Jan's Beast, the Doblo is in for a MOT today, they've just arrived to collect it and will bring it back later today.  It's a Motability lease hire car and its due replaced next month.  Hopefully we will get the £200 reward this time when it goes back!  You get this if you don't make an insurance claim during the lease period and the car is delivered back in a good condition.  Her last car was a Zafira and that was stolen form outside the house and smashed up.  That put paid to the £200 that time.  I wonder what they will find for them not to pay out this time?

I still haven't seen any evidence of the new parking wardens in town yet.  Maybe this too is all being done in secret too eh ;-)))
