Still a busy day ...

14 September 2011
We are not planning on going out today even if it is market day.  We will be busy enough here in home.  For some time now we have wanted to move from our front room into our rear room.  Both rooms are about the size but I've always felt that we would be better out back, if only for the added privacy of not having nosy sods looking in as they walk past.  Today we continue with swapping things about so we can remain in the back room.
I keep on slating Dorktown don't I?  Well, if you were unfortunate enough to have to live here you would understand why.  But I got a bit of surprise yesterday while we were out and about on our scooters.  We had a shower and took shelter in the archway of the George Eliot pub until it had stopped.  Then we rode down to Wilkinsons to buy some bits for the budgies.  While Jan was paying I went back outside and was confronted by this ...

Dorktown looking almost pretty in the sun after a shower!

There's nothing worth reporting from the local rag really apart from someone wanting to build a new railway station at Bermuda Park, an industrial estate on the outskirts of town, extend the platform at Bed'th station and build another new station at the Ricoh arena.  As well as being the home of Coventry City FC and a casino, there's also a shopping area with a few large stores there, the biggest being a Tesco Extra.  The county council has given it all a green light now it has to go to the government for final approval.  As the bulk of the funding has to come from there, I can't see it happening.

Well, work to be done so it's time to get on.
