Big spending day today.

7 September 2011

Later today we are going out to order Jan's new car.  We both have Motability lease hire cars, Jan's is a Doblo which we bought so that we can get both our s scooters into the boot.  Sadly, apart from its use for that, it has been a beast of a car.  Jan now wants to go back to a Zafira - until she saw a add for a Seat that she wants to go and look at first.  I have a feeling that she will still go for Zafira though.

We will have a good ride round today anyway and might even go and out to Jacksons Camping place out at Arley.  It's a really good place and not just for camping/caravan stuff either.  I'm actually looking for a shallowish tray to keep all my pens, pencils and stuff together in one place.  Jacksons should have the right thing for me.  They do sell a cutlery tray with different sized compartments in it.  Something like that will be ideal.  Then we shall head off to the one Seat dealer that I know of, right of over the other side of Coventry.  It's close to Morrison's supermarket and we haven't been in there for good bit either.  We tend not to do so simply because we overspend when we do.  There's so many nice things in there - like the time went in and they had large sausage rolls on offer, 5 for £1.50 and they were still hot from the oven.  By the time we got to the checkout there was only two left!  We had one each but I'm a sucker for savoury food like those and a second found its way inside ;-)))

Wednesday is market day here in Dorktown but today we'll be giving it a miss.  Hopefully it will be nice weather on Saturday and we'll go down there then.  I do like the market cos I can get lots of candid photos which are one of my favourite photo subjects.  Speaking of which - at long last I got my photos from last week sorted out ...

Jan's new dress ... I heard one lady say, "Wow, look at that dress!" as Jan walked out of the shop.

Last of all, here's Blackpool sea front on the day we arrived.  It was as cold as it look too.  Overall we had a good four days up there.  Now we are really looking forward to when we move up there.
