Naother week gone ...

12 September 2011

So here we are, Monday yet again.  Today is our usual shopping day so we tend to be busy anyway.  But we've also arranged for a test drive of the car that Jan is looking at having in December when her current mobility lease ends.  It all adds to fun and spice of life eh ;-)))

Today's Heartland News has a letter in it complaining about the way that Dorktown is going down the drain.  He's right of course, it is.  But the thrust of the letter is in the way the council wastes tax payers money.  £1.6 million to revamp the old Woolworths store on Queens Road when T J Huges wanted to take it on.  Now it's closed after such a short time the money spent on it can be shouldn't the council be the same.  We have a second class town full of second class people so why should we be surprised that we have a second class council?  The letter writers ask us if there is anything good in the town.  The obvious and road out of it!'  In our case that will be the M6 northbound when we can finally be able to cut our links with this toss-pot town.

So then, while I make do with having to live here, I'll carry on with my writing.
Yesterday afternoon I got another 2500 words done for the Happyman project.  At the same time I realized that I could actually change how the plot develops without affecting what I have already written.  During dinner (Roast Chicken last night ... very nice too), I had another idea come to mind for yet another story, this one a follow-up on House of Pain, which is nearly ready for release too.   I noted the idea and will follow that up later.

Lunch time now and we have to get ready for our test drive.  Have fun guys n gals - and remember - if things don't alter, they'll stay as they are!
