This is getting silly now ...

18 August 2011

... this the second day running we've over slept - 10.40 this morning when I woke up.  It's not that we settle all that late either.  I settled at midnight and Jan was on a few minutes later. Tonight the alarm is getting set!

There's not a lot in the Dorktown News today.  A friend of ours is taking park in the Cardiff half marathon on behalf a charity he volunteers for.  Andrew is a great guy and we've known him since 1984.  Sadly he is partially sighted and because of that he finds it impossible to get paid work around here.  We wish him luck with the run.

I bought a copy of Webuser the other day and they got a group test on some website builder software in this issue.  The winner of the test is Moonfruit and I'm going to give it a go later.  I used to have a website before called Jaronland, hosted by Yahoo.  It was built as part of a website builder course at our local college but I can't find it listed now.  A web search has shown over 200o. sites with the term in it now.  I shall make sure I register it this time!

The dogs are going crazy again, their normal mad hour.  They leave us on the 29th.  We've just can't look after them properly now and it's not fair on them.  We are doing the very best we can but it's been months since they last went out for a walk, neither of us are up to now.  We have mixed feelings over it, relief at finally being able to relax more but a lot of guilt of not being able to do the caring job properly!  They are most certainly the last dogs we have.

Weather today is overcast with the threat of rain later.  It's very muggy too.  We aren't going out today but tomorrow we are due to have Kile for the weekend and we're looking forward to that.  He's hard work too but great fun too.  We'll take him to Brum on Saturday and use the Doblo not the Golf, he gets sick in the Golf for some reason.  A pack of travel sickness pills will be bought - just in case eh ;-)))

So that's it for day then, a short one.
