Selling grandkids? Oh no no no ... ... ...

11 October

The other day we watched Horns, on Netfix and thought it was a lot better than Woman in Black. As for the other Parry Hotter child actors, Radcliffe seems to be doing the best post Hotter so far. We watch Watson in Noah and thought that was a just about OK. I read somewhere is was ‘a career defining performance.’ Oh really? As for Grint, well, what has he done I wonder? The other’s all had minor parts really and that’s pretty much how things have panned out for them since.

Before Jan went off to church this morning we sat and watched a recorded show in part of the NASA Secret Files series. I’m not a conspiracy theory nut in general but there are some things going on that don’t make sense to me. Anyway … one of files that was looked at was the X15 Rocket Plane that was tested in the early 60s. A full movie was made based around the X15 with Charles Bronson in one of the lead roles. There were a number of spectacular scenes in the movie where certain events were shown which were actually filmed as they happened.

One was an engine test blow out that luckily didn’t leave any casualties. Another was of a dancing NASA fighter jet which had series problems coming in to land and the dancing was the plane moving along vertically on its jets engines. As I say, spectacular at that time. But I was able to tell Jan about seeing the film, but also, that the film didn’t say anything about the UFO that the chief test pilot saw in one of his flights. That event was filmed from the cockpit too but now the film has mysteriously disappeared … … …

So back to today then; my next task here in Dorktown is to try to print a copy of Shipshape and post it to a friend in Bedford. One of her friends used to be in the RN and has kindly agreed to read through it and pick out any real howlers in there. I’m confident that the plot line is not repeating any other writers work, although with the number of books getting published these days, I can’t be 100% sure. The problem is that me printer was playing up the last time I tried to print something. Bloody crazy! I’ve set it off printing and it’s going through without any hassle at all. Now all I need to do is find Barbara’s address.

Today’s photo then …
