8 July
We had
planned to go off to North Wales for a photo shoot today but last night I sat
here and I was absolutely knackered. Jan saw it and suggested we should perhaps
not go out today. I was relieved she said that and this morning we found out
that we were wise not go out; we are both feeling pretty ropey right now.
Enough of that …
It’s that
time of year again folks, tennis has taken over the BBC! I hate the bloody
stupid game and I can’t understand why people are addicted to sitting the
watching it. They should get themselves a life for god’s sake. Yesterday they
were showing the same game on BBC1 and 2, now where’s the sense in that? The
news today was savagely cut back because of it and it won’t be long before
programmes will be moved or cancelled because of it. It’s the same every year;
and every year we hear the BBC is short of dosh, I’m not surprised really if
that is how they are pending it.
Fun and
games out the back around 9sih last night. I sat watching a film and glanced
out of the window and saw a guy running along the scaffolding but I hope they
don’t ask for a description cos I only saw his back and the colour of his coat
and trousers. The gossip is that he has been ‘sectioned’ because of his abuse
of his girlfriend but she keeps on letting him back in. I’m not convinced that
sectioned is the right term here, normally that get placed in a secure location
if that happens. Anyway, it seems he managed to seriously hurt the girl last
night and what I saw was him running away from here flat.
I’ve
mentioned on here that these blocks are a mixed bunch with supported flats on
the ground floor for elderly and disabled people. The first floor flats are
general purpose and anyone can have those. The council keep moving young kids
into them and the inevitable happens simply because they have not been taught
how to live and behave around other people.
There’s
the guy up stairs who is still there who has caused a lot of trouble. He was
drug dealer for some time and after a major problem last year, he’s been very
quiet and the only time we know he’s there is when he moves any of his furniture.
There’s the woman three doors down from us who has mental illness problems and
every so often she flies off on a rant to someone or other, usually her sister
living just over from her.
There’s a
guy just down from us in a first floor flat who has learning difficulties who
has been taken advantage of and that was causing some hassle too. Before we
moved here there’s has been a number of other issues that we’ve told of. Why
the council won’t learn the lessons I don’t know, I really don’t.
I’ve just
got the photos done from Monday, so here’s the first …

Today’s
failure …
‘Traditionally,
most of Australian imports come from overseas.’ Keppel Enderbery, Aussi cabinet
minister. So not all the muppet politcos are here in the UK then!
