Easter
Day and kids all over the UK will be stuffing themselves full of chocolate.
Notice I said, ‘… kids of the all over the UK …’, not ‘… all kids all over the
UK.’ There will some who will not be able to eat an Easter Egg today because of
the rules of DWP have now removed the safety net from their parents. In fact,
those kids will be lucky to have a bowl of soup in some cases. However, as with
all things life is not that simple is it?
Many
people who have kids spend their money on booze, smoking and drugs, which means
they can’t look after and feed their families properly, the way they should be
looked after. Government can’t be blamed for that, no matter what colour they
are. No, this is down to mankind’s greed and selfishness, and that can’t be
legislated away. Many money-rich men want more of it and don’t care how they
get it or who their greed will hurt in their greed.
This
then leads back to the Easter Eggs and why we have them at this time of year.
According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easter_egg),
eggs are symbols of fertility; they contain a chick inside, a symbol of the
life circle. It doesn’t take long to extend this to the spring and the start of
the growing season. Christian however, believe in the empty tomb of Jesus, the
dead Son of God, rising from the grave having given his all for everyone. And
that my friends is the exact opposite of the greedy man grabbing more and more
wealth. The empty Easter Egg then, is a symbol of the empty tomb of Jesus.
Today is Resurrection Day; the tomb is empty; HE HAS RISEN!
I
don’t have any Easter themed photos so …
It’s Spring, and here’s a blue primula,
one of many in the follower beds of Centenary Square, Brum.
Today’s
funny is egg related, borrowed from the Silver Surfers on Facebook …
