It has finally started folks; a GP practice in the Camphill
area of Dorktown has been taken over by a private company. It’s supposed to be
the first of its kind too. The eye care clinic at the Hussy has already been
farmed out to a private company so I suppose it was only a matter of time
before it spread to other areas of the NHS. It won’t be long and we all have to
start paying when we attend a GP appointment or an A&E department.
We had a letter from the council today, a second copy
of one they sent out last week. It seems that the cladding on the upper level
of our block contains asbestos. At long last the council are going to remove them
and install pitched roofs over the entries of the block. But why do they need
to send two identical letters about it. They probably can get the letters printed
and sent out cheaper by doing a large number them in one go, but even so, the
cost will high. It won’t long before they telling us that they need to increase
the council tax because of cuts imposed by central government.
And so yet again we see the love of Islam put on
display for the world to see. 150+ kids and teachers are killed in a school in
Pakistan. What are these butchers thinking? All they are doing right now is
turning the whole world against them, even the Taliban has condemned the gunmen.
It is now hoped that the attack is the spring that will turn the whole country
against the extremist; we can only hope.

A nice white flower.
Our favourite Sage has spoken …
Judy and Ted got married and had 13 children. Then Ted died of heart disease.
She married again and she & Bob had 7 more children. Bob was killed in a car accident, 12 years later. Again Judy remarried and this time she & John had 5 more children. Judy finally died, after having 25 children.
Standing before her coffin, the preacher prayed for her. He thanked the Lord for this very loving woman and said, "Lord, they are finally together."
Ethel leaned over and quietly asked her best friend, Margaret, "Margaret, do you think he means her 1st, 2nd, or 3rd husband?"
Margaret replied, "I think he means her legs, Ethel."
