Knowing that
we were due to have Kile we bought a pack of Cadbury's chocolate bars, the
small flat ones. Well. I tried one and I was very disappointed by it. At
various times I've tried chocolate in different parts of the worlds and they
all taste pretty much the same, that is weak and insipid and lacking a taste of
the coco basis. Sadly, I noticed that the chocolate bar I had the other day
tasted pretty much the same. Of course Cadburys has been taken over the Yanks
and I suppose they are trying to get Cadburys to taste the same as their normal
crap chocolate!
I've not seen
all that news on telly over the holiday but one item I did catch yesterday was
about the proposed ruling from Europe saying that it was not legal to sentence
anyone with a full life tariff. So the government is supposed to bringing out
new sentences of 'hundreds of years' just to get around the new Euro-crap.
There is another way ... give us the British people the chance to choose
between remaining in Europe and withdrawing from it. Then we can thumb our
noses at everything Euro! Of course there's no leader with a chance of forming
a government in current politics within the balls to do so. UKIP might but can
you see them getting into a position to be able to call such a vote? No, nor
me!
But this
issue of sentencing is supposed to be based around the human rights of
offenders. That makes the Criminal Justice System named correctly. What we
really need it a new set up, the Victim Justice Service. If we had that we
would be able to deal with these criminals properly. If they deprive victims of
their human rights, then they can expect to lose theirs when they are taken to
court and sentenced. Again, there's no politician with the balls to do so.
In a few
months time some of us we will be given the chance to vote for our councillors.
OK, fine, but who do we vote for? There's talk even now that says the results
of these elections will be an important indicator of how we will vote in next
year's general election. What crap!!! The figure lookers can make the results
say as much or as little as they want it too. These idiots must think we a load
of unthinking morons.
Jan has just
left to take Kile home. We were due to have him until Sunday but around 8.30
last night we a phone call from the care home where my mother is that they had
called an ambulance to take her to hospital. We decided that with things as
they are, we may well have to go up there fairly quickly so maybe it was
perhaps better that Kile goes home now. Jan will then go and see how mother is
before going off to see a friend of hers who is also in hospital.
Well, Jan has
called with an update on mother; she's awake but weak - but still strong enough
to shout at Jan and tell her to 'bugger off.' That sounds about par for the
course then ;-)))
Considering
what the weather is like I thought this photo might be right ...
I got it as
Jan drove north on the M5 one time.
And funny
time ...
