Not feeling good so a short one

5 September 2013

With one thing or another I never got to view the so-called Town Plan, the much debated plan as to where new developments are or can be built.  Ah well; but in today's News the Weddington Green councillor Keith Kondakor's alternative plan is published.  He identifies a number of locations, mainly on brown field sites and certainly sites which will not impinge on current housing stock.  Of course, he is the only Green Party councillor so there is very little chance of his plan being taken seriously.  It seems to me that the only times the two main parties come together on anything is to try to bully a single voice into silence in any way the can.  I hope they don't do so this time though and give this one some serious consideration.

It must be a really slow news time right now.  Front page of today's News is about a 36 year old mum of two who has made a big impression on the auditions for the X-Factor ... woopy woopy do!!!  These talent shows are all the same, I'd sooner watch re-runs of I Love Lucy - at least they haven't been on telly for years.  Surely there's something much more important to report than that.  Even the future of the Hussy has been relegated to page 3.

This will be a short one today, feeling pretty rotten again now.  Today's photo then ...

And for a funny ...
An elementary school teacher was giving a drawing class to a group of six-year-old children. At the back of the classroom sat a little girl who normally didn't pay much attention in school. For more than twenty minutes, the girl sat with her arms curled around her paper, totally absorbed in what she was doing. The teacher found this fascinating. Eventually she asked the girl what she was drawing. Without looking up, the girl said, "I'm drawing a picture of God." Surprised, the teacher said, "But no one knows what God looks like."
The girl said, "They will in a minute."
