There's two
telly progs I really like and try to get to see them whenever I can. One is BBC's Panorama and t'ther Tonight. Last night's Tonight was a shocker for me for a couple of reasons. The first one is that three yobs thought it
acceptable to carry guns around London and not only that but to use them quite
indiscriminately. Those regular readers
will know what my thoughts on guns are!
The yobs missed their intended target but his a five year old girl
instead. Although the girls is making
progress it is slow and she still might not be able to walk properly again
unaided.
The courage
being displayed by the girl should be enough to shame the yobs I would have
thought, but no, they are appealing their conviction. There's no shame and no sense responsibility
there. This in itself is quite shocking
but what shocks me more is that there are groups, or gangs of such young thugs
walking around our cities with no thoughts about anything but themselves and
gang loyalty. Where does that leave us
as a society? And how much worse will
things be when this current crop have kids of their own? It's quite frightening really. No town is safe from these thugs and that's
why Jan and I don't go out to town at night very often and when we do we get
taxis both ways.
If there is
one thing I fear more than anything else, its fire and even more so when it's
deliberate! The thought of it makes me
shiver. I think of the Philpot case
where so many kids died and the more recent incident in Leicester where four
people died. Both of these were arson. Today the News
carries yet another suspected arson report.
Luckily no-one was hurt this time and the fire was limited to the
kitchen in the house. I wonder just how
many people have to die in fires before arsonist stop playing with fire.
It's Friday
and we are due to pick up Kile for the weekend later for the weekend. We'll take him for a MacDonald's today seeing
as we won't be taking him out this time.
We're off the Blackpool on Monday and we don't really fancy a trip out
on Saturday as well as driving north on Monday.
He'll be OK with that though. But
do please remember that blogs will be fewer than normal next week.
Today's
photo ...
Another fungus we found at Fishers Green last Saturday.
And the Sage
has spoken again ...
Rep staying in hotel goes to the bar, he sees a
beautiful woman sitting alone having a drink.
He introduces himself & soon they are getting on famously laughing
& joking all evening.
He was amazed when she told him that she was 72 as she was elegant beautifully dressed & looked no more than 50 at the most. They drank & talked & laughed some more.
During the conversation she told him that she had two daughters in her late 30s who lived nearby. Then she asked him if he had ever indulged in a threesome with mother & daughter.
This was right at the top of his list of fantasies, when he recovered his wits & replied no. She said that this was his lucky night. Wow one of his dreams coming true.
He drove her back to her house, she unlocked the door & led him inside his heart was pounding. Then she shouted up the stairs. MUM ARE YOU AWAKE.
